University of North Alabama - academic scholarships ACT of 25 and above.  Honor Graduate Scholarship.  PGHS students with a 4.0 and above who apply and have an ACT of 18 will receive $2,800 a year - renewable.

American Cancer Society Scholarship - Applications available at www.cancer.org.  Applicants must have had a cancer diagnosis before age 21 and a GPA of at least 2.5

Sammy 2008 Scholarship - Deadline to apply March 7, 2008. Available to scholar athletes/

Women's Alabama Golf Association Scholarship - Deadline to apply April 1st.  ACT 22 and have an interest in golf.

UAB Science Summer Bridge Program - Deadline to apply March 31, 2008.  Minority students planning to major in science, technology, engineering or math.  In addition to to tuition, room, board, and a meal allowance - students will receive a $1,200.00 stipend.

Virginia Cobb Scholarship - Deadline to apply:  March 28, 2008.  Applicant must be hearing or speech-impaired.  See Ms. Morrow for application

Stonewall Jackson Memorial Repayable Scholarship - Deadline to apply:  May 1, 2008.  1500 word essay required. Topic must be about some aspect of Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson.  See Mrs. Morrow for application.

AAUW Memorial Scholarship - Deadline to apply June 30, 2008.  Recipient must be female, good grades, and good character.  Must show need.  See Mrs. Morrow for application.

Samford University Kenny Morgan Scholarship - deadline to apply:  March 16, 2008.  Essay required.  See Mrs. Morrow for application.
